Welcome to Math!

     I am excited to get this year started!  This will be my 16th year to teach math.  Working with the kids helps keep me young!  I have  a great love for math, which I try to share with my students.  My goal is to have students leave my class with a smile on their faces each day :-)

     For the past 6 years, I taught 6th grade math at Gorzycki Middle School in southwest Austin.  I am a firm, but very fair teacher.  I love my students and treat them as if they were my own children. I challenge, nuture, and love each one of my students.

     I have two children, Lauren and Brett. Lauren has 2 degrees - anthropology and forensic science.  She is pursuing a job with a medical examiner's office as a death investigator.  Brett is a senior at Tarrelton State working toward an international business degree. He loves to rodeo.

     My husband, Don, and I are both from Oklahoma.  I love football season because I make bets with the kids about who will win the OU-Texas game.  Lately, I've been lucky, but I'm not sure this year.
